Francis Cuddihee, Esq.
Associate Attorney
About:
Francis is a seasoned and devoted legal advocate with extensive experience representing and advising clients in several different capacities from complex civil litigation, high stakes business and commercial negotiation, and as outside general counsel. Francis utilizes a holistic representation approach that ensures all legal strategies, tactics, and outcomes are made with a full understanding of the client’s needs and goals. Francis has represented and counseled hundreds of clients in the past 11 years.
Francis began representing clients as a legal clinician at University of Tennessee Legal Clinic, among the nation’s first legal clinics, and Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, an extension of Harvard Law School and the oldest student-run legal services office in the United States. During that time, Francis began his career as a courtroom litigator, representing clients in domestic relations court, federal and state administrative proceedings, and refugee and asylum cases. Francis also served as an extern in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in the chambers of the U.S. Magistrate Judge Ed Bryant. Francis graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2013 with an emphasis in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.
Francis and his wife moved to Colorado in 2013 where he immediately began representing clients as first chair in high stakes divorce, custody, property, and domestic violence litigation. Over time, Francis’ practice transitioned into a real property, business, and commercial litigation. Francis has represented clients in contract matters, real estate, fraud, construction defect, trademark, defamation, credit-debtor, probate, civil RICO, civil theft, and many other areas.
In addition to his legal practice, Francis has also served as a trusted advisor to dozens of startups, middle market, non-profit, and enterprise scale organizations as the business development director of Denver-based consulting and fractional executive placement firm. In that capacity, he built strong relationships with business leaders and C-suites to help them fast track growth, tackle obstacles, and build out operational capacity in areas from finance, operations, and HR to business development, marketing, and sales.
Since 2013, Francis has also served as a trained and experienced mediator. As with his litigation practice, Francis utilizes his legal expertise and negotiation acumen to facilitate agreement and dispute resolution in manner that protects parties’ interests, minimizes unnecessary costs, and advances justice. Francis is also a board member of the Turelli Foundation which provides court-appointed free mediation services in high-conflict domestic relations cases.
When Francis isn’t working diligently on behalf of his clients, he is enjoying life with his wife Kathryn, his two daughters, and two rescue dogs. They can be found hiking, camping, biking, concert-going, or at a museum. Francis is also proud Tennessee Volunteer and Eagle Scout.
